About

The Southeast School of Music serves the communities of Atlanta, Alpharetta, Cumming, Duluth, John’s Creek, Lawrenceville, Marietta, Roswell, and Suwanee in Georgia, and provides music lessons in piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, drums, and voice. To provide maximum flexibility to our students, both In home music lessons and online music lessons are offered.

The music school was established by pianist and educator Dr. Kate An.  Kate is a trained music educator who obtained her undergraduate degree in Music from the Manhattan School of Music, a Master’s degree from The Juilliard School, and a Doctorate in Musical Arts from Boston University.

The music school is proud to offer a Salzburg College/SSOM joint certificate program and is thrilled to announce their 2023 Winter recital will be held at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, GA.

Kate’s passion for piano and music in general was the motivating force for establishing the Southeast School of Music. She has a strong desire to pass down her love of music and extensive knowledge to others regardless of their age or skill level.

Kate is fluent in both English and Korean and has extensive experience teaching piano to students as young as three years old through adulthood. She nurtures her students’ individual talents and desires to see them enjoy playing while experiencing a growing appreciation for music.
